Description
Coin jewellery; brooch made from an 1844 Queen Victoria silver crown coin; the reverse of the coin has been engraved and polychrome enamelled with the Royal arms and the same inscription that was originally on the coin; obverse of the coin still shows the bust of the 'Young Head' Victoria, with the designer's name in tiny letters below the bust, and the usual legend around the border; brooch conversion probably made in the 1890s in Birmingham; fastening pin on the back.
