Description
Oil lamp for railway signalling; tinned steel body, chimney, filter holder & fount; polished brass(?) reflector; ceramic & brass burner; thick glass lens, with red, blue and pale blue filters (the blue filter was used because the yellow light of the oil lamp would show through the blue filter, resulting in a green light being shown); markings show the lamp was used by the London & SW Railway co & Southern Railways; Norris collection.
