Description
Oil lamp, freestanding domestic table lamp (probably made by Hinks & Sons); square stepped base brass base weighted with an iron insert; the stem is a fluted Corinthian column with an elaborate capital; hand-painted pink glass fount with brass connector & collar' fitted with a brass duplex burner, with snuffing mechanism; 4" gallery, with wicks fitted; this lamp has been converted to electricity (hence the holes for wires), but has now been restored; Norris collection.
