Large ceramic meat dish or platter; glazed earthenware witn a transfer print rural scene with cattle, sheep, cottages & workmen approaching a bridge, etc; two shallow channels on the top surface lead to a large indentation, presumably for draining off the meat juices & fat; set on a shallow pestal base; on base transfer print label of 'Cattle & Scenery' with acorns & oak leaves.
