Description
Monochrome photographic print of Anglo-Saxon objects; shows an elaborate silver gilt round brooch from the cemetery at Sarre, Kent, and a highly decorated buckle from the Wye Downs area; this seems to be a cabinet card sized photograph produced by T Nesbitt, photographer in Blandford, Dorset. This print has been mounted on card & previously framed; it is part of a group that were displayed at Eastgate House Museum by George Payne, some time between 1903-1920. Some light foxing & discolouration.
