Short sword or scramasax; single-edged sword; traces of incised lines running parallel to blade; long pointed tang; pock-marked & holed by corrosion. Presumably part of the C13 to C59 entry in the George Payne inventory. Recovered from graves at Watts Avenue, Rochester, Kent.
