Description
Model aircraft; accurate scale model of a WW2 Bristol Beaufort twin-engined monoplane torpedo bomber. Designed by the Bristol Aeroplane Company, at least 1180 Beauforts were built by Bristol and other British manufacturers. Although designed as a torpedo bomber it was often used as a medium day bomber. Its first flight was on 15 October 1938, it was brought into service in 1939 and retired in 1944.
Labelled 'These model aeroplanes were built entirely by Mr R Kemp of Gillingham'.
