Sword; 1796 pattern light cavalry sabre; curved single-edged blade, no inscription; leather & wire grip; metal scabbard; length quoted is overall; used by the Cobham Yeomanry. The scabbard was not originally made for this particular sword, but is of a similar date. This is not incompatible with arms borne by Yeomanry troops.
