Description
Armour; buff leather coat for protection against sword cuts; hole in right sleeve (removal of badge?); green velvet cuffs & green material behind buttons; upper coat has part of original coarse fabric lining; exhibited with cuffs from dep79. Repaired and exhibited with 'modern' buttons - 7 with Rochester arms (deposit from Director of Recreation in 1976) and 6 small anchor buttons bought from Fent Shop, Rochester (07/06/1981). Inner linen collar & cotton tie are from museum collections. See additional notes in reproduction field.
