Description
Carved wooden armchair; square section legs & uprights; arms carved into cannon barrel design; back has 5 fluted uprights, back rail is topped by crown; wood allegedly oak from ship of Admiral De Winter's fleet (Battle of Camperdown, 11th October, 1797). Copper alloy castors; some recent screw repairs; carved wooden seat has large central split. Purchased at auction, date unknown (1970+).
