Shoe; man's left? shoe, brown leather; leather upper, flat sole (section missing); single pair of holes for string-like laces; stitched and nailed sole; quite worn; reinforced toe; hand-written owner? name on inner sole 'Johan'. Found under the floorboards near the chimney stack of 13 New Road, Rochester (formerly Nile Terrace).
