Candle lantern; black-painted rectangular tin body; 3 sides are glazed - hand-made glass with 'crown' glass effect (to magnify? diffuse? light); 4 -sided top with large suspension loop; 4th side is metal & has a handle or belt clip; holds 1 candle. Modified for electrical use in the 'Hulks' display. Presumably one of the four 'Miner's lamps' listed in the Golding-Bird bequest.
