Description
Watercolour painting; shows Rochester view across the Medway from Strood; castle & cathedral in silhouette; busy river traffic with barges & smaller craft; on reverse is a small sketch of a boat. Glazed & framed & mounted on the wall. Seems to have been drawn initially in April 1893 and finished as a watercolour in 1895. Donated by Lady G R de Beer, via the London Museum, some time after July 1965.
