Watercolour painting; a sepia view of Chatham from Upnor. River view with various barges & smaller craft; in the right foreground is a conical potter's kiln (John Robert's kiln?). Susan Twopeny was the eldest daughter of Edward Soan Twopeny, a lawyer in the family business in the cathedral precincts. Her younger brother William was also an artist and bequeathed works to the British Museum.
