Description
Watercolour painting; a sepia view of Rochester from Upper Delce; shows a distant view of the cathedral without a spire (erected 1904), and Fort Clarence to the left; two figures are in the lane in the foreground. Susan Twopeny was the eldest daughter of Edward Soan Twopeny, a lawyer in the family business in the cathedral precincts. Her younger brother William was also an artist and bequeathed works to the British Museum.
