Watercolour painting of Eastgate House as a school ('Young Ladies Academy'), circa 1810, artist unknown; shows girls playing 'Battledore & Shuttlecock' (an early form of badminton); also ladies & gentlemen socialising & dogwalking. Some bad brown staining & blistering, especially over the sky area (the first image attached is slightly cropped & digitally 'cleaned').
