Pencil drawing of Rochester Castle from the stable yard of (what had been previously) the Fountain Inn; shows curtain wall towers with keep beyond, stable buildings on edge of moat. John Flower was a Leicestershire artist whose landscapes were characterised by detailed attention to architecture, foliage & rocky scenery.
