Watercolour painting of the old Crown Inn cellars, Rochester; shows elderly workman leaning on pick in the stone-built vaulted medieval cellars; unframed; see also A4780, similar image. Donated some time before 1905? Stephen Aveling was a family member of the company who specialised in the manufacture of road rollers. He wrote articles for Archaeologia Cantiana in the 1880's.
