Description
Watercolour painting; view of Rochester Castle keep & burial ground in the moat; loan male figure with stick & bag; coarse brushwork giving a pastel effect; unframed. Paul Braddon was the pseudonym of James Leslie Crees. He made pencil sketches of buildings and scenes, from which he painted watercolours. At least one other set of slightly different watercolours were taken from the same sketches (now in NZ).
