Description
Watercolour painting; view of The King's Head stables with Rochester castle keep beyond; 2 female figures near a cart, male figure with long pole; coarse brushwork giving a pastel effect; unframed. Paul Braddon was the pseudonym of James Leslie Crees. He made pencil sketches of buildings and scenes, from which he painted watercolours. At least one other set of slightly different watercolours were taken from the same sketches (now in NZ).
