Description
Watercolour sketch; small quite crude amateur sketch showing a view of Francis' cement works on the Thames at Nine Elms; shows white building with tiled roof & tall chimney (presumably for furnace). In an album of 210 sketches. Artist known as 'C' (or possibly 'C.F.N.), a Cliffe resident. Sketches were painted between 1864-1911; 1860's/70's of some Surrey/London locations, 1880's/90's Medway & Hoo peninsula; added later pencil comments by artist.
