Description
Engraved print, much copied in other media; Ladbury's Cottage view with castle keep behind; on the cottage eave is written 'SN 1812', presumably a builder's date; unframed. See also oil painting A2648 & ink sketch A4910 & watercolour A4909. A little stained & holed around the border. Seems to be a page number '6' in the corner. Originally produced for the "England's Topographer" series of Kent views (London 1828-1831).
