Small teapot; white moulded porcelain body, separate lid, knop has fallen forward during firing; shallow oval pedestal foot; applied handle; spout shows some damage; overall hand-painted design in black of trailing branches with numerous seed heads. Probably Japanese, made for the European market; purple seal mark on the base (see A6601 for clearer image of this maker's mark).
