(not fully printed, but at partly drawn in ink on watermarked 1798 paper - see the 'arms' at the top left).; issued by the Margate Bank; redeemable there or Sir James Esdaile & Co, Bankers in London MARGATE the - day of - 180 , for Francis Cobb & Son; value of 5 guineas. Had been backed on to 'recent' blue paper, leaving traces & damage in corners. This is one of group of historic bank notes acquired in circa 1962 by J C Taylor, Curator.
