Description
Bank note; issued by the Rochester, Chatham & Strood Bank; redeemable there or at Baron Dimsdale, Sons, Barnard & Staples, Bankers, London, for Day, Hulkes, Troy, Sabb & Gillman; printed value of twenty five pounds. Has been backed on to 'recent' blue paper, leaving damage to corners. Old tear has been repaired on the reverse. This is one of group of historic bank notes acquired in circa 1962 by J C Taylor, Curator.
