Bank note; issued by the Sittingbourne Bank; redeemable there for a printed value of one pound; signed & dated 12th May, 1824; Royal arms & cipher printed in red & black on the reverse. Quite worn & yellowed, small wear hole in the centre. This is one of group of historic bank notes acquired in circa 1962 by J C Taylor, Curator.
