Description
Ephemera; photograph of Charles Dickens; cabinet card; picture taken in c.1858, taken by George Herbert Watkins; shows Dickens seated, tartan waistcoat smiling slightly; published c.1887-97. Acquired and displayed at the museum early 20th century. Fradelle & Young were active at 246 Regent Street between 1887-1897. Larger than the 'carte de visite' photograph cards, these images could be used for display in the home. Same sitting as A7230.
