Ceramic jug; light-coloured fabric; dark slip (or just stained?) applied over upper half of the vessel; bulbous body set on a pedestal ring; 2 vertical handles rise from body either side to neck; upper section of neck widened, with dec lines. Buried with several small iron objects (nails?) - many rust marks apparent. Probably of Mediterranean origin. Presumably from a late 19th/early 20th century private collection.
