figurine; C19th copy of an Egyptian ushabti (shawabti); carved stone funerary figurine; depicts body prepared in traditional Egyptian fashion, arms crossed & headpiece. Seed bag slung over shoulder & holds tools to sow & reap the fields of the afterworld. Copy of an item originally buried with an individual to act as a worker in the afterworld in place of the deceased. Item has been broken and shows old repair.
