Contact or visiting the Archives Office

The location of the archives service is shown in the map below. It is located as shown near the main reception area of the Civic Centre in Strood. Those coming to visit the archives on foot will find it conveniently located a few yards from the High Street and visitors arriving by train will find that it is within easy walking distance of Strood station. Visitors driving to the centre from Rochester or London should use the A2 while those approaching from the M2 will find that access is via the A228.

Free service leaflets are available on request; two publications, A Subject Guide to Records and A genealogist's guide to sources for tracing members of the armed forces in the Medway area 1550-1950 are for sale at £2.50 each plus postage and packing.
