These were received as follows: November 1962 P305B/1/1-4; P305B/1/5-6; January 1986 P305B/1/7-12.

The village of Borstal received its own church in 1879, serving as a District Church of St. Margaret's Parish, Rochester whose boundaries it lay inside, until Borstal became a parish in its own right on 10 December 1901. Consequently for the period prior to 1879, reference should be made to the Rochester, St. Margaret's parish records (collection P305). Further parish and general historical information on Borstal may be gleaned from the antiquarian manuscripts of Canon S. W. Wheatley of St. Margaret's (collection DE53/1).
