Showing the cutting of the turf by P.T. Rogers MBE, chairman of the bench, in the presence of Rowland Newnes, Town Clerk of Chatham, Mrs. Bertha Grieveson OBE JP, T.W. Bowman OBE, Gwendoline Cremona JP (in sun glasses and red hat), onlookers, other justices of the peace and members of the press (2 June 1976), followed by sequences of the construction of the court taken about seven days apart, showing work by the contractor Barwick from a vantage point in the multi-storey car park at the Brook Pentagon (1976-1979).
