    Small shoe or boot; left shoe, brown leather; leather upper, sole and slightly built up heel; originally fastened by a lace through 2 simple holes; some nails in the sole; quite worn. Found in the chimney breast of the old Vicarage, Upchurch, during demolition. Attached images shows this group of shoes (A3152-A3154, A4308/1-2, A10847/1-2) before & after conservation, a published article & an image of the old Vicarage, Upchurch.
